How long does it take?
The answer to this question depends upon the type of dental implant treatment
provided. In some cases, such as “
Teeth In A Day” and “
Teeth
In An Hour”, patients can have fixed teeth on the day of implant
placement. In the traditional approach, the procedure is performed in two
stages. The surgical phase consists of placing the implant in the jaw and
allowing it to integrate for 3-6 months. Once this is accomplished, the
restorative phase involves taking impressions and fabricating the teeth that
attach to the implants. This usually takes 1-2 months.
The procedure chosen depends on several factors, such as the number of teeth
involved, the patient’s dental health, and which teeth are to be
replaced. These factors will also determine the number of visits to the dentist
throughout the treatment period.
